The Peachtree Corners Garden Club is proud to spotlight Joe Twiner and the inspiring work being done at Peachtree Farm. Founded in 2021, Peachtree Farm is a nonprofit urban farm dedicated to creating meaningful jobs and vocational training opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. What began as a family vision is growing into a vibrant, community-centered space where individuals can truly “live, work, and thrive.”
Under Joe’s leadership, the farm produces fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, and even honey, while offering hands-on experience in planting, harvesting, animal care, and farm operations. Beyond agriculture, the farm fosters confidence, independence, and connection—helping participants build skills that extend far beyond the garden beds.
With a focus on sustainability, education, and inclusion, Peachtree Farm also invites the broader community to get involved through volunteer opportunities, plant sales, and seasonal events. Joe Twiner’s vision continues to grow not just healthy crops, but a stronger, more connected community that is rooted in purpose, dignity, and shared growth.
